Delete Your Account
You can delete your Workermo account at any time. Here's what that means for your data.
How to Request Account Deletion
You have two ways to delete your account:
Option 1 — In the App
Go to More → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Follow the confirmation steps. Your request will be processed immediately.
Option 2 — Email Us
Send a deletion request to support@workermo.com from the email or phone number linked to your account. We'll process it within 7 business days.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove or anonymize the following:
- Your name, phone number, and profile photo
- Your bio, service listings, skills, and availability settings
- Your chat messages and conversations
- Your saved workers, favorites, and preferences
- Your device push token and notification history
- Your verification documents (ID, clearance uploads)
- Your location data and proximity settings
What We Retain (and Why)
Some data must be kept after deletion to comply with legal, financial, and platform safety obligations. Retained data is anonymized or de-identified where possible.
- Transaction records — booking amounts, fees, and payout records are kept for accounting and tax compliance (typically 7 years under Philippine BIR requirements).
- Dispute and refund records — retained for the duration of any open dispute, then anonymized.
- Reviews you received — public reviews on completed bookings may remain on the platform, attributed anonymously.
- Fraud and abuse signals — anonymized flags kept to protect the platform and other users.
Before You Delete
Please note the following before requesting deletion:
- Active bookings — you cannot delete your account while you have an active or pending booking. Complete, cancel, or resolve any open bookings first.
- Pending payouts (Workers) — ensure your payout has been processed before deleting. Unprocessed payouts may be forfeited.
- Open disputes — wait until any active dispute is fully resolved.
- Account recovery — deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You'll need to create a new account if you return to Workermo.
Deletion Timeline
Deletion requests made in-app are processed immediately. Email requests are completed within 7 business days.
After processing, your account will no longer be accessible and your personal data will be removed from active systems. Some data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being purged.
